What are booster coils?
Booster coils are small heating coils installed in ductwork to “boost” the air temperature in specific zones of a building. They’re essentially hot water or steam coils used for localized heating rather than whole‑building heating.
Think of them as mini heating coils placed downstream in the duct system to fine‑tune temperatures where the main air handler can’t do it alone.
