What are economizers?
An economizer is a device or system that reduces energy consumption by capturing and reusing heat (or free cooling) that would otherwise be wasted. In HVAC and industrial systems, economizers improve efficiency by using “free” energy already available in the environment or process.
There are two major types depending on the industry: HVAC air‑side economizers and boiler/industrial economizers. They work differently but share the same purpose — save energy.

At HeatEX, we work directly with our customers to engineer custom economizers fit to the specific applications, performance needs, and constraints of each job. Additionally, we can provide direct like-for-like replacements when given measurements of damaged or failed units. In order to ensure a perfect replacement fit, we prefer to come out to the jobsite and measure each unit ourselves. This takes the worry away from the customer and ensures correct fit and functionality for our replacement products.
