Tube bundles are the internal heat‑transfer section of a shell‑and‑tube heat exchanger, made up of many tubes held together by tube sheets. They’re the “guts” of the exchanger — the part you can remove, clean, repair, or replace without replacing the entire unit.
If you picture a shell‑and‑tube heat exchanger as a metal cylinder, the tube bundle is the removable core inside it.
